Adaline Mae Ferguson

Adaline Mae Ferguson, 91, of Myrtle Beach, SC and formerly of West Alexander, PA, died at 7:00 a.m., Monday, February 9, 2015 in the Grand Strand Medical Center, Myrtle Beach, S.C.
She was born on October 3, 1923 in Piqua, OH, a daughter of the late Cecil Owen and Kathleen Edwards Shipley and had resided in West Alexander until moving to Myrtle Beach in 2011.
Mrs. Ferguson was a member and former lay minister for the West Alexander United Methodist Church and was a 1940 graduate of the former West Alexander High School.
She was formerly employed by the Goodyear Tire Factory in Cochton, Oh during WWII, a former secretary at the Valley Camp Coal Mine, and was the owner and operator of a beauty shop.
Mrs. Ferguson was a 50 year member of the West Alexander American Legion Post 656 Ladies Auxiliary, and also a member of the West Finley Grange, and the Democrat Women.
On October 23, 1942 she married Nelson Leroy Montgomery who died on May 21, 1952, on August 21, 1954 she married William Herman Stuntz who died on August 21, 1975, and on April 16, 1982 she married Roy Dague Ferguson who died on March 27, 1993.
Surviving are three children, Dennis, husband of Jeannie Montgomery of Boise, ID, Sally, wife of Martin Strganac of Myrtle Beach, SC, and William, husband of Terry Stuntz of Copperolis, CA; a step daughter, Roxanne, wife of Randy Snodgrass of Indiana; 13 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 18 great great grandchildren; and a brother, Melvin L., husband of Maycell Shipley of Austin, TX.
Deceased in addition to her parents and husbands are a son, Richard A. Montgomery; three sisters, Evelyn Foster, Doris Nicholson, and Leona Van Sickle; and three brothers, Lloyd, John and Cecil Shipley.
Friends will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the West Alexander United Methodist Church where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, February 13, 2015 with Rev. Daniel Grimes officiating. Interment will follow in the West Alexander Cemetery. The West Alexander American Legion Ladies Auxilliary will have a service at 7 p.m. on Thursday.
