Joni Milliken

Joni D. (Patterson) Milliken, age 54, of West Alexander, PA, passed away at the Donnell House in Washington, PA on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 with her family at her side.
Born November 28, 1962 in Washington, PA, she is the daughter of Keith and Jean (Espey) Patterson of Winston Salem, NC.
Joni graduated from McGuffey High School, class of 1980 and attended West Liberty College where she obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. She grew up in South Franklin Township and has lived for the last 23 years in West Alexander, PA, where she was a member of the West Alexander United Methodist Church. Joni retired in 2015 from United Fabricating Inc. in Claysville, PA, after 10 years of service as the Office Manager. She had numerous hobbies which included flower gardening, bird watching, reading and taking beach trips. Myrtle Beach, SC, was her favorite beach to visit. Above all, spending time with her family was the most important thing to her.
She is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Mike Milliken, of West Alexander, PA; together they had two children, Matt Milliken of West Alexander, PA, and Carrie (Eric) Despotovich of Kaneohe, HI; one sister, Amy (Buddy) Emerson, of Winston Salem, NC; seven nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received on Friday, October 20, 2017, from 3– 7 pm at West Alexander United Methodist Church, 162 Main Street, West Alexander, PA 15376. A funeral service will be held at the church following visitation at 7:00 pm, with Rev. Paul Harman, officiating.
Services have been entrusted to Kesterson-Rush Funeral Home, LLC., 3275 W. Roy Furman Hwy, Rogersville, PA. (724)-499-5181. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the West Alexander United Methodist Church, 162 Main Street, West Alexander, PA 15376 or the Donnell House, 10 Leet Street, Washington, PA 15301.
